¿What is ACOM?

ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) is an aluminum composite sheet which has become the preferred architectural cladding for facades and corporate identity applications due to its superior strength and low weight properties.
The thickness of the sheet is 4.00 mm in which the aluminum is 0.50 mm thick each sheet and 3.00 mm in the PE polyethylene.

ACOM VENTILATED FACADE SYSTEM

Adaptable and Resistant

The ventilated type ACOM composite aluminum facade is the one that, due to its geometry, allows air to enter to regulate the temperature of the building and is installed on the existing structure through the supporting aluminum profiles where the prefabricated aluminum tray compound is hanging from the accessories that make up the system.

An exterior enclosure system allows the placement of Extralum Aluminum Composite (composite panel) separated from the thermal insulation employing a supporting structure. This separation distance allows the passage of an air current between the panel and the facade, thereby achieving optimal thermal and acoustic insulation, as well as effective protection against atmospheric agents. The panel is fixed to the facade using construction elements designed and manufactured by Extralum for an easy, fast, and efficient placement of the system.

The main advantage of ventilated facades is energy saving, which is possible thanks to the existing chamber between the brick and the Composite Aluminum (composite panel), which causes the thermal transmittance to be reduced, and energy is saved inside the building.
